Carl was raised in Iowa before moving to Arizona for a time. He later come to Missouri and has continued to reside here. Carl enjoyed fishing, cruising, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Kathleen Brockway (DeWayne), Nevada; his father, David Messer, Marshalltown, IA; two sisters, Tina Gilmore (John), Milo, MO, Stacie O’Neil (James), Nevada; one step-brother, Dave Brockway, Kingman, AZ; one niece; four nephews; two great nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
