On Wednesday 11/16/16 around 10:00am the Kansas State Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle accident on Kansas Highway K7 at Mile Marker 106.2 which is around 11 miles North of Mound City, Kansas.
The Kansas State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2001 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide driven by 44 year old Johnny Schmidt of Kansas City, Missouri collided with a 2000 Freightliner driven by 49 year old Kevin Carothers of LaCygne, Kansas.
Mr. Schmidt sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damages and were towed from the scene.
