Morning/Freezing Drizzle, Afternoon/Evening Snow, Dangerous Wind Chills Sunday

Not much has changed with this forecast package with the main differences being the snow being a little slower to move into the area and, a slight shift north to where the heaviest band of snow will set up. Otherwise, light freezing drizzle this morning is expected to produce continued light ice accumulations leading to hazardous driving conditions.

Freezing drizzle will come to an end by late morning. Snow is then expected to move into northwest Missouri and northeastern Kansas by 10am to noon. The snow will then slowly spread southeastward across the rest of the forecast area this afternoon. The heaviest band of snow is expected to set up from Cameron to St Joseph and the northern KC Metro and back west towards Topeka. It is here where 3 to 4 inches of snow will be possible.

Otherwise, the rest of the forecast area is expected to get 1 to 3 inches. Snow ill move out of the area before midnight tonight. Dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills will move into the area by Sunday morning with morning lows ranging from zero to 10 below zero.

Factoring in the winds and wind chill values will range from 15 to 25 below zero!
