UPDATE: Independence man arrested after fleeing police near Drexel

A man sustained serious injuries after fleeing from Bates County Sheriffs Deputies and crashing his vehicle into a utility pole and house  at 18 Highway and CR14781 in the Drexel Area of Bates County this morning around 11:45am.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County says the vehicle that fled was a 1999 BMW driven by 49 year old Rick S. Mosley of Independence, Missouri.

Mr. Mosley was transported by Miami County Kansas EMS  to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed to the Bates County Sheriffs Office by R/T Tow.

Charges are pending at this time and we will updated when they are made available to us.
