Appleton City man arrested in St. Clair County

 Terry Sieleman
On Dec. 28, Terry Sieleman, 38, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on an original class C felony charge of possession of controlled substance and class A misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Bond on those charges is set at $20,000 cash only.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on Oct. 25 when a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle Sieleman was a passenger in. During the investigation members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force arrived on scene to assist with the stop. A check revealed Sieleman had two warrants from Henry County for failing to appear in court on misdemeanor charges of harassment and speeding. Sieleman was taken into custody.

The investigation continued at a camper that Sieleman resides in behind an abandoned residence on Burdette Street, Appleton City. A plastic bag with a white powder and several items of drug paraphernalia were discovered in the camper. The white powder field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Mr. Sieleman was also arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court in another case charging him with class C felony charge of possession of controlled substance. Bond on that charge is set at $10,000 cash only. The original charge stems from an Appleton City Police Department investigation in October 2013
