January is Stalking Awareness Month. Stalking is a crime that is dangerous and largely under-reported, but early intervention can help prevent violence.
If you are being stalked trust your instincts, keep a record of each incident, develop a safety plan, reach out to local advocates for assistance and call law enforcement.
If someone you know is being stalked you can listen, show support, encourage the victim to seek help from advocates and law enforcement, and help create safety plans.
