Marlene Wainscott, Bates County Clerk/Budget Officer announces the completion of the county budget for 2017.
All county offices came in under budget for the year ending December 31, 2016 and for the sixth year in a row we have a budget surplus enabling us to build a modest reserve while continuing to adequately fund county services.
Clerk Wainscott would like to thank the Commissioners for their prompt approval of the budget and all of the office holders for their cooperation and good use of county funds.
The budget will be available to view on the county website at www.batescounty.net after receipt by the Missouri State Auditor's Office.
