Alice (Hansen) Hood, 85 of Overland Park, Kansas passed away January 25, 2017 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Cremation, with memorial services 10:30 am Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church, 9300 Nall, Overland Park, Kansas.

Alice was born June 20, 1931 in Exira, Iowa to Charles and Clara (Petersen) Hansen. She graduated from high school in Atlantic, Iowa and attended beauty school in Des Moines, Iowa. Alice returned to Atlantic and worked there in a salon until she met Clyde B “CB” Hood, Jr. They married November 29, 1953 in Atlantic and moved to Kansas City, Missouri and then later Overland Park. Besides raising four children, Alice worked a variety of retail positions including at Suzee’s, Dahl’s and Walmart. After CB’s death in 2012, Alice continued living in their Overland Park home until 2016 when she moved to Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation in Olathe, Kansas.

Alice was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Mildred (Hansen) Larsen, Virginia Hansen, Charlene (Hansen) Davis and Mary Ann (Hansen) Hood and her brother Charles Hansen. She is survived by her son Clyde B Hood, III (wife, Jerri), daughters Celeste (Hood) McBride (husband, Jamie), Sarah (Hood) Mannering (husband, Mike), Rebecca (Hood) Allison (husband, Frank), grandchildren Justin Hall (wife, Morgan), Tyler McBride, Hannah McBride, Garrett McBride, Allison Mannering, George Mannering, great grandchildren Oliver Mannering, Pearl Hall, Eleanor Hall, Hazel Hall and a host of nieces and nephews
