A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be planned and carried out by Chuck’s family at a later date yet to be determined.
Charles Edward Knowles, 58, was born to Franklin Eugene and Phyllis Eileen (Wasser) Knowles on October 1, 1958. He passed on from this life at his home in Appleton City, Missouri on January 4, 2017.
Chuck was born in Vandalia, Illinois. After completing his G.E.D., he became a certified welder, who worked for a company that sent him all over the United States for more than 30 years, even doing some work on structures on the ocean. He deeply enjoyed his work no matter the job, as he lived to work and was proud of it, until he became unable.
Apart from his trade, Chuck delighted in boating with his brother on Stockton Lake. He also loved deer hunting, watching westerns, and always remaining a devoted Chiefs fan. One of his favorite holidays was the 4th of July, where he spent many happy evenings celebrating Independence and having a cold drink with his wife Shannon of 15 years and three sons: John, Terry, and Riley.
Chuck’s family and friends always remained the most important part of his life. Ultimately, Chuck loved life and enjoyed living it. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Preceding Chuck in death was his mother Phyllis and a sister Vicky Knowles. Survivors include his father Franklin; his wife Shannon; three sons, John, Terry and Riley Knowles; two brothers, James and Oran Knowles; three sisters, Annie, Mary and Melissa; an uncle, Jay and aunt, Rose Knowles; and several dear and important friends: Ronnie and Larry Davis, Anthony and Beth Lippa; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
