Orson Junior Goins was born May 27, 1930 in Hammond, Indiana to Orson Daniel and Stella Marie Dale Goins. He moved with his family to Oklahoma early in life and grew up in Fairland, OK where he attended school. In 1952 Orson joined the US Marines and served during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Shirley Farrow on May 28, 1953. Three children were born to this union. Orson worked for over 20 years for Jackson County Missouri Juvenile Court as a Youth Worker.
Orson was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert Goins. He is survived by his wife Shirley Goins of Butler, MO, son O. Dan Goins and wife Patty of Irving, TX, daughter Cindy Green and husband Bill of Blue Springs, MO, and son Preston Goins and wife Lara of Concordia, MO, grandchildren, Lara K. Bowling, Sarah Schreimann, Shane Goins, Kyle Goins, Michael Green, and Daniel Green, sisters Dorthy Norris of Independence, MO, and Betty Tillery of Rich Hill, MO.
