From Rich Hill City Alderman Jason Rich

Please read for information on the following topics. City Wide clean up, town hall meeting and nuisance ordinance enforcement.

Mayor and council have been working towards properly enforcing the City's nuisance ordinances. These steps have involved bringing ordinances up to date with new state statutes, breaking the ordinances apart so they are understood easier, informing the public of what is in the ordinance so compliance can be met and helping the public meet compliance with out creating any unnecessary financial burden toward a citizen. Council has not changed the criteria of what a nuisance is, changes have only been made to meet state statutes for penalties and enforcement.

February 27th, 7 pm at the Kerns Center there will be a town hall meeting where Richard Brockman will address the public with a presentation and answer questions.

March 6-10 will be a city wide clean up. If assistance is needed please drop a letter off at city hall with your name, address and a phone number. State why and what kind of assistance is needed in the letter. This information will be passed on to volunteer organizations, if assistance is available the volunteer organizations will be in contact. This is not an assistance guarantee, nor is the the city providing the assistance.

March 13 nuisance violations will begin being issued.

This information will be put in local papers, city website and flyers. Please share and pass this information on.
