The community of Hume wishes to extend the sympathy to the family of Kay Black of Prescott, KS, who passed away on January 22. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Julie Cooke recently returned from a trip to California where she attended the funeral of her father. Our thoughts and prayers are with Julie and her family.

Our sympathy is also extended to the family of Zita Mae Curtis who passed away on January 20. She too, will be greatly missed by family and friends. We continue to keep all of these families in our prayers during this time and the days to come.

The 050 Club will meet on February 13, 2017 at Noon at the Hume Community Center for a carry-in dinner. All are welcome to attend.

Don’t forget the Taco Benefit Dinner to be held Sunday, February 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hume School; Proceeds are for Hume School Teacher, Jackie Duncan who has experienced some health issues. We continue to pray for healing and a speedy recovery.

Hume United Methodist Church News: On the fist Sunday in February we held our fellowship dinner after church with lots of delicious food. On Sunday, February 12 we will hold services at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home. Then that evening the Methodist Men will host our Annual Sweetheart Dinner at 6:00 p.m. in the church basement. The men need to be there around 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to start cooking. All are welcome to attend.
