Sue was born September 26, 1948 to Estel Alvin and Alvin Pearl (Trigg) Welch in Butler, Missouri. She was married to William (Bill) James on June 2, 1968. Together they had two sons, Doug and Greg. On March 7, 1986, in Harrisonville, Missouri, Sue married Donald Paul Brown. Sue and Don had a daughter, Jenny Marie.
Sue worked many years for Wal-Mart. She enjoyed her country life and riding her horses and being among the other animals. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life. Watching movies and TV programs was her evening entertainment.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Donald Eugene Brown, and sisters, Helen and Alice. She is survived by her husband, Donald, of the home; children, Doug James and Marla, Appleton City, Greg James and Sarah, and Jenny and Matt Werst, Adrian; grandchildren, Bailey, Karli, Kady, and Brycen James, Keaton Cook, Heather, Tyler, and Aiden Werst. She is also survived by her brother, LaVerne Welch and Roma; sisters, June Walker, Earlene Vaughn and Ron, Delores Metcalf, and several nephews, nieces, and friends.
