On 3/4/17 around 4:38pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Hickory County responded to a two vehicle accident just West of Hermitage, Missouri.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2001 Ford Ranger driven by 27 year old Jessie L. Butler of Collins, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway, over corrected and struck the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 35 year old Christina R. Newbold of Wheatland, Missouri.
A passenger in Christina R. Newbold's vehicle 35 year old Albert W. Newbold of Wheatland, Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Christina R. Newbold and the other driver Jessie L. Butler both were seriously injured in this accident and both were life flighted to hospital's in Springfield.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Defreece Tow of Hermitage, Missouri.
This is Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 12th Fatality of 2017.
