Bates County Emergency Management Agency has been named a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador

The Bates County Emergency Management Agency has been named a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
The Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador initiative is an effort to formally recognize NOAA partners who are improving the nation’s readiness against extreme weather, water, and climate events.
As a WRN Ambassador, the Bates County Emergency Management Agency commits to working with NOAA and other Ambassadors to strengthen local and national resilience against extreme weather.

The WRN Ambassador initiative helps unify the efforts across government, non-profits, academia, and private industry toward making the nation more ready, responsive, and resilient against extreme environmental hazards.

We are honored to be a part of the NOAA Weather-Ready Nation program and are strongly committed to providing Bates County and the surrounding communities with weather data and necessary weather educational materials.
