Hume Community News 4/18/17

Hume, Missouri 
A large crowd attended the Annual Hume PTO Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. The PTO did a great job in organizing this event.

Wilma Swarens hosted Easter Dinner at her house. Those attending were Shane Swarens, Pam, Adam, Tyler and Wyatt Swarens, Gayla Swarens, Robbie and Jacinda Sullins and girls, Matt and Ginger Neal-Cox and girls, Beau & Elizabeth Swopes and girls, Amber Staton and Boys. Melissa Swarens spent the day with her family. Several didn’t make it due to illness.

The O5O Club met on Monday, April 17 with a delicious carry –in dinner. The O5O club meets every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.

Don’t forget the Fit for Life ladies retreat at the Hume Christian Church on Saturday April 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

A retirement reception will be held for Mr. David Quick on Saturday, April 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Hume R-VIII School in the multi-purpose room. Mr. Quick has been Superintendent at the Hume School since July of 2006 and will be recognized for his years of service to the District.

The Hume Alumni Committee held their first meeting on Monday, April 17 to begin plans for the 2017 Alumni Dinner to be held on Saturday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. If you ever attended Hume School you are welcome to attend the Hume Alumni Banquet. The next planning meeting will be Sunday, April 23rd at 3:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall.
