Barbara was born on February 23, 1924, in rural Henry County, Missouri, to Rena A. and Joseph E. DeLozier. She was the youngest of five children.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School, where she excelled in Latin and basketball. She married another Clinton resident, William M. (Jack) Angle, on March 28, 1944, in Olathe, Kansas, just before he left for U.S. Army Air Corps flight training. During WWII, she took a nightly bus with other young women from Clinton to Kansas City to work the midnight shift at the Pratt & Whitney plant, which made engines for the airplanes her new husband flew as a flight navigator over western Europe.

Following the war, she became a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was vibrant, loving and kind with a ready sense of humor. She loved to cook, garden, watch her beloved Missouri birds (especially cardinals and bluebirds), read and watch old Hollywood movies. She enjoyed spending time with her four brothers and their families, her husband’s family, and the close and lifelong group of friends in Clinton she met for lunches and weekly bridge games. In later life she adored traveling throughout the U.S. and particularly Hawaii.

Barbara was preceded in death by husband, her parents, Joseph and Rena DeLozier, her four brothers: Tracy, Forest, Dale and Carol “Spec” DeLozier, as well as her eldest daughter, Sandra Dinges. She is survived by her son, Stephen W. Angle and wife, Denna, of Warrensburg, her daughter Deborah D. Taylor and husband Gary, of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as grandchildren Stephanie and Lee Willerton, Rhonda Rogge, Bill Angle, Bill Hoffman and Marty Taylor and great-grand-children Renae, Kristen, and James Rogge, Henley Angle and Keagan and McKenna Taylor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
