On Saturday, April 15th, at approximately 5:12 P.M., Clinton Police were dispatched to the 900 block of South Third Street in reference to a man lying in a garage who appeared to be deceased.
Upon arrival, officers found that the resident of the home, 53 year old Kevin Chaney was in fact deceased in the garage area.
A death investigation was conducted by Clinton Police Detectives and Henry County Coroner Dain Sisk, who was on the scene.
The initial investigation and examination of the scene points to an act of suicide however, this incident is still being actively investigated by the Clinton Police.
An autopsy is scheduled for today in Jackson County, Missouri. Mr. Chaney was transported to the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home.
