Arrest warrant issued for Appleton City woman

Shannon Knowles
On May 2, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for Shannon Knowles, 46, Appleton City. Knowles is charged with failing to appear in court on a class C felony count of possessing a controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The charge stems from an incident on April 15, 2015 when St. Clair County deputies, members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, and the Miller County SWAT Team served a search warrant at Knowles’ residence on Miller Street, Appleton City. During the investigation, a small plastic bag containing a white substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in a bedroom. Knowles allegedly admitted the methamphetamine was hers and stated it had been there for three years.
