Funeral services for Norris Dean Garnett will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor J.R. Beck officiating.

Norris Dean Garnett, age 85 of Butler, Missouri died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at his home in Butler, Missouri. He was born June 14, 1931 to Harvey Bunyan and Sylvia Paulette Hines Garnett in Bates County, Missouri.
Norris is survived by his wife Elizabeth Garnett of Butler, Missouri; four sons, Jim Garnett and special friend, Linda Cain of Butler, Missouri, Donald Garnett and wife, Janet of Amsterdam, Missouri, David Garnett and wife, Rita of Stella, Missouri and Alan Garnett and wife Summer of Richmond, Virginia; a daughter, Gwen Tarvin of Butler, Missouri; a stepson, Randy Barton of Idabel, Oklahoma; a stepdaughter, Sandy Bangle and husband Dan of Hayes, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Garnett of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Irene in 1994; a son-in-law, David Tarvin; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Garnett; a brother, Richard Garnett; and a sister Nadine Garnett.
