Obituary - William “Bill” Shaw

William “Bill” Shaw, 72 of Drexel, Missouri passed away May 3, 2017 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel Chapel (660-679-0009). 

A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kansas. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com

Bill was born October 31, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ted Otto and Mary Jane Chastian Shaw. He attended Drexel schools and following graduation Bill joined the US Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. Bill was united in marriage to Beverly June Turner and to this union three children were born. Bill worked many jobs throughout his life, he owned and operated Bill’s Heating and Remodeling for many years along with working in automotive repair and various odd jobs. Bill was also a very proud member of Belton Assembly of God Church in Belton, Missouri.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Beverly Shaw of the home in Drexel, MO., daughter Twila Shaw of Charleston, SC., son Keith Shaw and wife Lisa of Long Island, NY., son Kyle Shaw of Drexel, MO., four grandchildren, and siblings, Shirley Duncan of Batesville, AR., Richard Shaw and wife Charlene of Kansas City, MO., Elizabeth Stump and husband Robert of Belton, MO., Steven Shaw and wife Nancy of Oklahoma City, OK., Paul Shaw and wife Cathy of Wichita, KS., George Shaw of Raymore, MO., and Sheila Harris and husband Mark of Drexel, MO., along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
