Traffic stop in Cedar County leads to drug arrest

Cedar County Sheriff's Deputy Sawyer looked beyond the routine traffic stop. A Bolivar woman is in custody after giving false identification driving while suspended, and an outstanding arrest warrant for controlled substance.

Deputy Sawyer discovered almost 80 grams of marijuana on inventory search of the vehicle prior to the vehicle being towed.

Cedar County Jail corrections staff located a metal smoking pipe and 1 gram of Methamphetamine's hidden on the female person.

Charges pending for possession of controlled substance and bringing contraband into the jail.
