Ethan grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 2016. From the age of 10 Ethan battled epilepsy. He never saw himself as a victim or let his epilepsy define who he was. Ethan could always be recognized by his headphones and the big smile on his face. He was a jokester who loved to make people laugh. Ethan enjoyed music, collecting knives, walking on the beach, and playing video games.
Survivors include his mother, Stacey Marie Wolf of the home; his father, Thomas Barnes, Liberty, MO; one sister, Hailey Welch, Liberty, MO; maternal grandmother, Susan Larimore (Dan) Nevada; grandmother, Donna Bonine, Dennison, TX; paternal grandfather, Thomas A. Barnes, Jr. (Debbie) of Walker, MO; maternal great- grandfather, Rodney Edwards, Nevada; aunts, Sara Servos, Nevada, and Carly Toliver, Nevada; uncles, James Barnes, Nevada, and Brandon Plunkett, Tacoma, WA; numerous extended family and special friends. Ethan was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Martin Bonine and maternal great-grandmother Barbara Edwards.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor David Rorabaugh officiating.
