Urich man arrested in St. Clair County

Michael Mullen

On May 3, Michael Mullen, 37, Urich, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance and class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Total bond is set at $12,500 cash or surety.

The charges stem from an incident the previous day when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Mullen was a passenger in on Highway D and North Center Road, Lowry City. 

During the investigation cellophane from a cigarette wrapper containing a crystalline residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located. Mullen made admissions the residue belonged to him and also produced an unused syringe from his sock.
