Nevada woman arrested after search warrant

Nevada Police have concluded an investigation into drug distribution after a search warrant was served yesterday evening. Nevada Police received a tip about drugs being sold out of a house in Nevada in the 600 block of North Cedar Street.

Detectives started conducting surveillance on the house after receiving the complaint. 

During this time, officers noticed heavy foot traffic in the area of the residence in question. Officers were able to identify most of the subjects on foot around the residence from previous drug related contacts.

Nevada Police were able to secure a search warrant for the residence in question. During the evening hours on Thursday officers executed the search warrant at the residence. In the basement of the home, officers located multiple subjects including one resident.

During the search, officers locates suspected methamphetamine, and other items commonly used in the distribution of illegal narcotics.

Nevada Police took one subject into custody identified as; Nevada resident, 28 year old, Sara J Overton.

Overton was transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding. The Vernon County Associate Court issued the following charges on Overton;

Delivery of Controlled Substance; Felony, C.

A bond was set at $10,000.
