Over-sized load accident causing traffic delays in Henry County

Clinton Fire crews are currently on the scene of a rollover accident, involving a oversized load that crashed on Route 13 north of Clinton. Both lanes of the highway are blocked. 

The truck was hauling a 430,000 pound power generator that was 232 feet long. 

Both lanes of traffic are closed and have resulted in the highway being shut down. 

No time frame has been given at this time as to when the highway will reopen. Traffic is being rerouted around the accident onto Henry County Routes N and M.

The situation is under control, fire crews are remaining on scene until the roadway is cleared. (Photos taken by Karen Keith).
