Collins man arrested on St. Clair County warrant

On July 17, John Snethen, 40, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony abuse of a child and class A misdemeanor domestic assault-fourth degree-first offense. The warrant was issued the same day and bond is set at $10,000 cash only.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation the previous day when deputies took a report of domestic violence on SE 1151 Road, Collins.

During the investigation it was discovered Snethen allegedly punched a juvenile in the head with his fist and stated he would to snap the individual’s neck. Snethen was taken into custody pending the formal charge.
