| Orin “Benny” Benjamin Judson Allen |
In 1968 he was married to Maxine Barnhouse who preceded him in death in 1991. He later married Anna Leer in 1997, and she also preceded him in death in 2001.
Benny grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School with the Class of 1960. Benny worked for Kellwood Tent Factory in Nevada, G.I. Cab, West Saw Mill in Rich Hill and Butler, Emerson Electric in Independence, MO, and farmed for most of his life. Benny loved to mow lawns when he was able to, watch NASCAR on T.V., and to go fishing.
Benny is survived by three sisters: Violet Compton and her husband Danny, Harwood, Helen Compton of Harwood, and Linda Cummins of El Dorado Springs. One step-sister and two step-brothers. He was a proud Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to Maxine and Anna, he was preceded in death by his parents, and two step-brothers.
Funeral services will be held at Ferry Funeral Home on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with interment to follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada. Friends and family may call now and until the time of service.
