Subject wanted for rape warrant arrested in Adrian

On July 17TH the Bates County Sheriff’s Office received information about a subject who had an outstanding warrant out of Kansas City, MO for Rape in the 1st Degree.

The information we received said that this subject was at a residence on Houston Street in Adrian, MO. After a lengthy surveillance of the residence the suspect was apprehended and arrested.

The Bates County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the CNET Drug Task Force and by the Adrian Police Department during the apprehension.

The subject identified as Gregory Allen Doty (DOB 6/5/1976) was extradited to Jackson County where he will face charges on the warrant for Rape that had a bond of $100,000 cash only.
