Bates County Sheriff's Office takes report of stolen bottle calves

On July 19th 2017 the Bates County Sheriff took a report of a stolen black bottle calf from the area of 12000 NW MO-18 Highway Amsterdam. A seconded calf was also stolen from the same victim.

The Bates County Detective Division began an investigation. The victim was able to provide investigators with a valuable piece of evidence. 

The Bates County Detective were able to locate the calves at the suspect’s residence. The suspect was interviewed, and confessed to the stealing of both calves.

A report was filed with the Bates County Prosecutor Office and Charges Pending at this time.
