Drexel hit hard by overnight storms

SEVERAL VEHICLES found their way into the abyss earlier this morning as evidenced in this photo taken at the city park. Consequently, Drexel Fire and Rescue responded to two different water rescues with one at 5:17 a.m. in the area of 69 hwy and 363rd - (Rural Miami Co Ks.) and 5:31 a.m. in the area of 18 highway and county road 14001 east of town.
As earlier reported, the culvert under 18 highway at the city lake/park washed out. The highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time- Mid America Live will provide updates as they become available.
