Outage Update: At peak, we had nearly 20,000 customers without power on roughly 600 events. Despite difficult weather conditions, overnight crews restored nearly 60% of the outages. Currently, we have about 7,000 customers without power.
The KC Metro area and surrounding rural areas received between 7-9 inches of rain. Where flooding is causing power outages, it may take some time for the water to drain before crews can access the equipment and begin repairs safely.
