Chelsea grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School with the Class of 2009. Following high school she worked at Sutherland’s in Nevada for a time and then at 54 Café also in Nevada. Chelsea enjoyed attending yard sales with Nana at every opportunity. But she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her children.
Survivors include two children, a son, Dallas Edward Gage Johnson, and a daughter, Madelynne Kennette Johnson, both of the home; father, Thomas E. Johnson, Carthage, MO; mother, Dorothy Murphy and her husband Randy, Nevada; brothers, Melvin Ray Foley, James Washburn, Zeb Roberts, Joe Roberts; sister, Sue Havens; numerous nieces, nephews, and one great-niece. She was preceded in death by her step-mother (Nana), Margaret E. Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Jerod Lamb officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family in c/o Ferry Funeral Home or the Chelsea Johnson Memorial Fund @ Great Southern Bank in Nevada.
