Gordon grew up in the Deerfield, MO area and graduated from Nevada High School.
He farmed all his live and operated his own trucking business for a number of years. Farming was his hobby.
Survivors include his companion Tammy Frame, of the home; his children Kenny Halcomb, son, and Andrea Halcomb, daughter, both of Nevada; grandchildren, Mason Halcomb, McKenzie Halcomb, Trevor Seitz and Taylor Vignolo and several great-grandchildren; and Pam Halcomb, sister, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Deerfield Cemetery, Deerfield, MO with Rev. Hubert Fox officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
Those who wish may contribute in Gordon’s memory to the Nevada R-5 Ag Scholarship in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
