James “Jim” Daniel Shreve, age 81 of Butler, Missouri died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born August 3, 1936 to James and Gertrude Geneve Allen Shreve in Spencer, West Virginia.
Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley Shreve of Butler, Missouri; one son, Tim Shreve and wife Debbie of Butler, Missouri; three daughters, Marjorie Underwood of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Jacqueline Foote of Butler, Missouri and Robbin Carling of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two brothers, John Shreve and Bill Shreve and wife Sandy all of West Virginia; three sisters, Virginia Pursley and Linda Starcher and husband Stuart of West Virginia and Monica Matheny and husband Dan of Kentucky; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Leona Faye Hall; and brother-in-law, Jim Pursley.
