The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when Megan A. Crawford, 21, Springfield, not wearing a seat belt, southbound in a 2000 Cadillac, overtook and struck a 2007 Dodge southbound by Jasmine C. Ortega, 22, Gladstone, wearing a seat belt.
Megan A. Crawford experienced minor injuries and refused medical treatment. Her vehicle had extensive damage and was removed from the scene by Golden Valley Towing.
The Ortega vehicle had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
