Standoff With Emotionally Disturbed Person In Cedar County

(Stockton Mo )08/17/2017 at around 20:25 hours, the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a house east of Stockton for an armed emotionally disturbed person. The emotionally disturbed person had fired a shot inside the residence, and then barricaded his/her self in a closet.

Corporal Jeffries arrived on scene and was able to get the reporting parties out of the house with verbal commands.
Other deputies arrived on scene and secured a perimeter around the residence. No contact was made with barricaded subject via PA speaker or cell phone.

Chief Deputy Johnson and Sheriff McCrary arrived on scene and advised Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D (S.W.A.T. Team) had been activated.

Hours later with the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D (S.W.A.T. Team) the emotionally disturbed person was taken into custody without incident.
