Third man charged in the death of Clinton Police Officer Gary Michael

On Tuesday evening, Aug. 15, 2017, a third arrest was made in the ongoing investigation of the fatal shooting of Clinton Police Officer Gary Michael on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017.

Arrested was Jacob M. Johnson, 27, Clinton for hindering the prosecution of a felony. He is believed to have given a ride out to the Bucksaw Point area to Ian McCarthy. He is being held on $25,000 bond at the Henry County Detention Center.

"The information lead was uncovered as part of the investigation. More arrests are expected," said one member of the Clinton Police Department on Tuesday evening.
