Update: Suspect in custody in Henry County

Kevin Dale Jones, 31, of Kansas City, who was involved in a vehicle pursuit late Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 15, 2017, with the Johnson County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit, has been captured.

The chase ended in Henry County, east of Highway 13 in the 100 block County Road NE 1000, when Jones fled from his vehicle on foot with the Henry County Sheriff's Department joining in the search in the rural Quarles / Shawnee Mound areas.

The Henry County Sheriff's Department announced at 6:24 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, Jones had been captured.

Jones currently has an active arrest warrant from Lafayette County, Mo., for drug-related charges.
