She was born on April 24, 1918 in Leeton, MO to the late Ward Culley and Emma (Wyatt) Culley. Carol married Herbert Wisdom on June 25, 1942. Carol was a loving mother to her three children; Nona, Kent and Marla Jean; her grandchildren; Jeff, Christine, Edward, Marcelle, Vernell, Heather, and Grace and her great-grandchildren; Shelby, Caitlin, Pierce, Ruby, Dalton, Quinn, Wyatt, Jonathan, Jason, Aidan, Wyatt, Charlie, and Joseph. She enjoyed her work and friendships made during the several years she worked at Unitog in Clinton, MO. Carol enjoyed to garden, was a beautiful embroider, an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and loved to play card games. Carol was a wonderful cook and many of her recipes will be cherished for generations to come. She made the best pies and told the best stories, both of which she always had ready for when company called. Late in life, she enjoyed the daily visits of her daughter’s dogs, Cocoa and Dandy; it was the highlight of her day.
Carol is survived by her children, Nona Hooker, Kent Wisdom, and Marla Jean Cooper, and her grandchildren, and many great children. She also leaves behind a lot of caring relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Herbert Wisdom, her son-in-law; Charlie Hooker, her daughter-in-law; Janelle Wisdom, her brother and three sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
