Drug Arrest made in Eldorado Springs


On August 29, 2017, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department served a search warrant for illegal drugs at 1103 South High Street, after receiving information concerning illegal drug activity. 

Officers located a Marijuana growing operation with approximately 12 plants in various stages of growth, drug paraphernalia and approximately 3 grams of methamphetamine.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Randy Keffer, 48, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Class B Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D Felony (meth), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D Felony (marijuana), Keeping a Public Nuisance as a Crime, Class E Felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor.

Officers complete a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging Keffer with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, Class C Felony, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Class C Felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D Felony, with a $25,000.00 cash bond. Keffer was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearance.
