The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2016 Ford Escape driven by 64 year old Joseph R. Wood of Lees Summit, Missouri failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the 2016 Ford Explorer driven by 35 year old Jesse L. Walkingstick of Raymore, Missouri is the passenger side door.
Mr. Walkingstick sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by private vehicle to Belton Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damages and they were towed from the scene by Eckert's Tow and J's Southland Tow.
