The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2001 Cadillac Sedan driven by 17 year old Michael I. Middleton of Walker, Missouri failed to yield at a stop sign and struck the 1995 GMC 1500 truck driven by 20 year old Ellen L. Armstrong of Schell City, Missouri.
After impact the Amstrong vehicle traveled off the north side of the roadway and through a fence before coming to rest in a soybean field.
Ellen L. Armstrong sustained moderate injuries in this accident and she was transported by Vernon County EMS to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damages and both were removed by the owner.
