The Ballard Student of the Month for October is Sophomore, Brice Eidson son of Richard and Tina Eidson. History teacher, Mr. Dunkin states, “Brice has drive and is responsible for his education.” Science teacher, Mr. Brewster, states, “Brice is a dedicated learner who works hard to master concepts in the classroom. Brice also cares about his peers and treats all students and district employees with respect.” Physical Education teacher, Mr. Hillman, states, Brice is courteous, kind, and hard working. He comes to class with a great attitude and is always willing to help when needed.” Brice is a member of the FFA Trap team and Baseball team. Brice is also involved in FFA.
The Adrian Student of the Month is Junior, Amina Scaletty, daughter of Jacki Scaletty. Amina is TSA President and is active in Student Council, Speech & Debate, Scholar Bowl, NHS, and TEAMS. She is much appreciated for her work in sports management.
Amina works hard and is known for her tutoring after school. Project Lead the Way teacher, Matt Sears states, “Amina is a very hard worker and I find that she takes much pride in her work.” Amina states, “Getting good grades pushes me on. Everything else falls into place.” Amina plans to major in Political Science and Linguistics at Mizzou or Truman State.
The Miami Student of the Month is Freshman, Morgan Harriman, daughter of Lori and Patrick Harriman. In school, Morgan participates in FCCLA, FBLA, Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball. She is active in her church, and she enjoys Netflix. Morgan states, “My Grandma has inspired me to be kind to everyone and work harder in school.” Staff at Miami state, “Morgan is an exceptional student who always puts forth her best effort in everything she does. She has straight A’s in all her classes and is a starter for the varsity volleyball team. Her attitude is always positive, and she is kind and respectful to everyone she interacts with. She is a good role model for her peers.” Morgan plans to play college volleyball at Drury University while becoming a nurse.
