Anyone remember the great flood of 1986?

Do you remember the the great flood of 1986? 31 Years ago this week, Vernon County was inundated by record-breaking floodwaters on the Marmaton, Drywood, and Osage.

These photos from the Vernon County Flood Book show waters inundating Schell City, Hwy 71, and Blue Mound School House.

The Vernon County Historical Society has very few photos from the event.
