On 10/29/17 around 1:00am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a one vehicle accident on Route W just south of 307 Street in rural Cass County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2003 Chevrolet driven by 54 year old John D. Ammerman of Archie, Missouri ran off the left side of the roadway, driver over corrected causing the vehicle to return to the roadway and overturn.
Mr. Ammerman sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Johnson's Tow of Harrisonville, Missouri.
John D. Ammerman was also charged with 1.)Driving While Intoxicated 2.) Failure to Maritain right half of the roadway resulting in a accident. He was released to seek medical treatment for his injuries caused by this accident.
