Stone explained the house at this location was destroyed by fire approximately a week prior, however his barn, which he uses as his shop, was left undamaged.
He was at the property at approximately 7:30 p.m. and everything was as it should be. When he returned at approximately 11:30 p.m. he discovered the side door to the barn open and several items missing.
Stone reported he had five used car batteries outside the building along the north wall that were now gone. Additionally, from inside the building he was missing a Bosch Nail gun and a Dewalt Skill saw. Stone believed other items to be missing, but wasn’t able to give a complete amount at the time. He also stated an air compressor and plastic bucket with miscellaneous tools had been moved from the back of the shop to in front of the door.
Stone explained both the large sliding door and the side door were locked when he left. When he returned, the side door was open and unlocked. He further explained the side door was damaged prior to this incident and could be pulled away from the door frame to allow someone to enter the building.
A suspect was named. Total value of missing items is $445.
