Burglary in rural Urich

On October 5th a Deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 14404 in Urich about a burglary that had occurred.

The victim stated that her house had been broken into sometime between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. When her child had come home from school he found that their house had been broken into. He then called her and went to a neighbor’s house to wait for her arrival.

When the Deputy arrived at the residence the victim walked him through the house and showed him where a window had been broken out and there was a metal pipe lying next to it. Her jewelry box was open as well as the gun safe. She advised the Deputy that 3 guns were missing including an AR-15, a .243 and a 30-30.

The Deputy left the residence and performed an area canvass. He attempted to speak to the neighbors to the west but had negative contact with anyone.

The total value including the jewelry and the firearms is estimated around $2000.00.
