On 10/22/17 around 11:04am the Missouri State Highway in Vernon County responded to a one vehicle accident on Route E around 3 miles west of Montevallo.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driven by 18 year old Conner E. Champion of Milo, Missouri swerved to avoid a animal in the roadway and ran off the right side of the roadway, Driver over corrected and skidded off the north side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Mr. Champion sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Southeast Auto of Nevada, Missouri.
