Carmen was born to Patrick Henry and Ella Theresa (Kelly) Conger on Nov 13, 1935 in Wagner, SD. She married Steve ‘Bo’ Bohannon in the Spring of 1961 and they moved to Butler, MO in 1965 where they raised their children. In 1983 they moved to Pahrump, NV and built a NAPA store and ran the store until retirement and moved back to Butler.

She was an ace pool player and the Betty Crocker of the family making fried chicken dinner, jello, deviled eggs and chocolate covered peanut butter Ritz cookies at Christmas time. She started quilting with the birth of her first great grandchild and made over twenty beautiful quilts. She loved creating gorgeous potted flower arrangements and was known for her Nana-isms, the most famous of which was “this and that.”

During her life, she worked various jobs, but her most remembered and most cherished job was managing the flower shop in Nevada. She made many friends during this time and potted many flowers for her customers and friends and was known as “the Flower Lady.”

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, one step-daughter, four grandsons and one granddaughter. She is survived by three sons; Dan (Shelly) Conger, Kelly Joe (Rhonda) Cooper and Rod (Ann) Bohannon; one daughter Jackie (Mike) Richards, a special daughter-in-law Marna Tucker, twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

Nana will be greatly missed and may she be at peace as she dances in Heaven to the tunes of Patsy Cline.
